Introduction
Guard and Patrol (Supervise Security Officers) is a mandatory module to progress on to the job level of Security Supervisor. Participants will acquire the essential knowledge and skills to effectively supervise security personnel and perform supervisory duties.
Assumed Attitudes, Skills and Knowledge
Participants are assumed to be able to:
- read, write and speak English at WSQ WPL Level 4
- manipulate numbers at WPN Level 4
OR
- individuals who do not meet the above entry requirements will be subjected to interview before acceptance
Objectives
To demonstrate mastery of the tasks in this course, the participants must be able to do the following within the given time limit and with the materials, tools and equipment supplied:
- Study Security Officer Procedures
- Supervise Direction Of Security Officers
- Supervise Emergency Situations
- Supervise Health And Safety At Work
- Supervise Control of Security Officers
Physical and Medical Requirement
Participants must:
- Be certified by a medical doctor to be physically fit for work
- Not be colour-blind or hearing impaired
