How to Apply for my Basic Security Licence?

For application of your Basic Security Licence, you will need:

• Your Singpass App or Singpass Account details
• Your Credit Card/ Debit Card/ Paypal Details
• (optional) Your documents showing that you have prior security training/experience
• (For Malaysians) A scanned copy of your work permit
• (For Malaysians) A scanned copy of your Malaysian IC
• (For Malaysians) A scanned copy of your passport
• (For Malaysians) A scanned copy of your Certificate of Good Conduct

Step 1: Go to the https://licence1.business.gov.sg/feportal/web/frontier/home

Step 2: Login using your Singpass

Step 3: Click on “Licence Application”

Step 4: Click on “Apply for new Licence”

Step 5: Click on “Government Agencies”

Step 6: Scroll down and click on “SPF”

Step 7: Scroll down to find “Security Officer’s License (SO), and Click “Add to Selection”

Step 8: Scroll all the way up, click on “Review and Apply”

Step 9: Click on “Proceed”

Step 10: Click on “Apply”

Step 11: Click on “Apply”

Step 12: Click on the checkbox

Step 13: Make sure you fill in the details needed, then click “Next”

You should fill your details in the boxes highlighted in red.

Step 14: Click on “Security Officer”, fill in the mandatory sections.

Step 15: Click on “None of the Above” if you have no prior experience.

Step 16: Under “Experience”, Click “None of the above” unless you have prior experience in the Security Industry

Step 17: Click on “Add”, and make sure your record is shown in the table above.

If you make a mistake you may click on the red “X” button and repeat Step 16.

Step 18: Under “Rank”, Click on “None of the above” unless you have previous experience.

Step 19: Answer these questions.

Step 20: Click on “Proceed”

Step 21: Click on “Next” if you do not need to upload documents.

For Malaysian Work Permit holders,

Upload the documents you need and Click on “Next”

Step 22: Click on the checkbox, then press “Submit”.

Step 23: Click on “Proceed with payment” to make payment for the licence.

Success!

You have completed your Security Licence Application. Do take note of your Application Number.

You will receive your security licence in 14 working days.
