1.Click on the button below to head to Singapore Police Force’s Police Licensing and Regulatory Department (PLRD).
2.Click on the dropdown list, and click on “Apply New or Renew Exisiting Licence”.
How to check if I am exempted from taking the Basic Licensing Units (BLUs)?
1.To check if you are exempted from taking the Basic Licensing Units (BLUs),
a. Click on the Dropdown list
b. Scroll down
c. Click on “Training Requirements or Exemptions”
If you have further enquiries, you can email PLRD at SPF_Licensing_Feedback@spf.gov.sg .
How long will it take for me to get my Security Licence?
The licence approval process will take 14 working days.
A notification will be sent to you when the Licence is approved. It may be sent via SMS, email or a letter to your residential address.
How long will it take for my Statement of Attainment (SOA) to be displayed on my Skillsfuture?
After passing your assessment, you wil be notified within 14 working days by Skillfuture Singapore (SSG) that your E-certificate is ready for printing.
For Singaporeans/ Singaporean PR with a Skillsfuture account,
a. Go to the MySkillsFuture portal
b. Click on the Login Button and sign in with you Singpass App or Singpass Account details
c. Go to Skills Passport
d. Click on Certificates to View your WSQ e-Certs records
e. Select the e-Certs you wish to download and click download

What happens when I fail my assessment?
Our experienced trainers pay attention to every student’s learning progress in class and ensure that all students understand what is being taught before assessment day. If you do not pass the assessment, you will need to pay for a reassessment fee of $75 or $140 depending on the course you have taken an assessment for.

What courses do I have to take under the Secura-Grab partnership?
You will need to take
- Incident Response: Handle Security Incidents and Services (HSIS)
- Guard and Patrol: Provide Guard and Patrol Services (PGPS)
- Threat Observation: Recognise Terrorist Threats (RTT)
How do I get my rental fee waivered when I attend my Basic Licensing Units (BLUs) at Secura?
You will need to contact Grab’s support helpline to know more about how to waive your rental.
You may contact them from your Grab driver app.
What kind of jobs am I offered after I obtain my Basic Security License with Secura?
This will depend on the jobs available. The hours are unlike the regular security jobs where there are 12 hour shifts. Our recruiter will speak to you when you come for your BLU class.
