Introduction
This training program seeks to equip learners with the essential knowledge and skills required to perform “Conduct Security Screening using X-ray Machine” related duties in adherence to the organisational procedures, and to handle incidents involving the detection of dangerous or hazardous items at their site of deployment. Enabling both the security agencies and its officers to provide higher security standards for the safety and well-being of individuals using the premise.
Assumed Attitudes, Skills and Knowledge
Participants are assumed to be able to:
- Be able to read, write and speak English at WSQ WPL Level 4
- Manipulate numbers at WPN Level 4
- Be able to read from a computer monitor and see from a distance
- Possess basic skills in operating a computer
- Individuals who do not meet the above entry requirements will be subjected to interview before acceptance
Objectives
The main target learners for this course are security personnel who are assigned to work in premises that requires them to provide security protection, and to perform frontline duties such as:
- Prepare for security screening using x-ray machine
- Perform security screening using x-ray machine
- Conclude security screening activities
Physical and Medical Requirement
Participants must:
- Be certified by a medical doctor to be physically fit for work
- Not be colour-blind or hearing impaired
- Be able to read from a computer monitor and see from a distance
- Possess basic skills in operating a computer
