INTRODUCTION
This course seeks to equip learners with the essential knowledge and skills required to perform “Conduct Crowd and Traffic Control” related duties in adherence to the organisational procedures, and to handle incidents involving disorderly crowd behaviour at their site of deployment.
OBJECTIVES
The main target learners for this course are security personnel who are assigned to work in premises that requires them to provide security protection through regulation of movement, and to perform frontline duties such as:
- Prepare for work activities
- Conduct crowd control
- Conduct traffic control
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
Individuals with the intention of pursuing a career in the security industry and; Security Officers seeking to develop their skills to be deployed to perform crowd and traffic control.
ASSUMED ATTITUDES, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Participants are assumed to be able to:
- Read, write and speak English at WSQ WPL Level 4
- Manipulate numbers at WPN Level 4
PHYSICAL AND MEDICAL REQUIREMENT
Participants must:
- Be certified by a medical doctor to be physically fit for work
- Not be colour-blind or hearing impaired
